Simply Fried Eggs for Breakfast!
I used to babysit all the time in middle / high school. I had a blast, especially when the kids started getting interested in cooking! We would always start with something simple but involving an oven or stove because kids feel accomplished when they get to use the oven or stove for the first time. Thus, eggs are one of my favorite things to teach first-time cooks (of all ages) how to make. They are versatile in their uses and tasty all by themselves.
That being said, it's time for another wonderful yet simple meal: fried eggs and toast. Truly a perfect breakfast for the family on the go! The toast and banana provide a healthy burst of energy while the protein from the egg keeps you feeling full until lunch. Add a glass of milk or side of cottage cheese and you have a balanced breakfast! Let's get to the cooking!
Ingredients (per person): Directions: While you wait for both sides of your egg to cook, start making your toast. We used raisin bread this week, but we normally go for whole wheat bread. Butter your toast as soon as you can after it comes out of the toaster so it melts on your bread. Then get your plate all ready with toast, egg, and banana! I love eggs for breakfast and hope you will enjoy them too! |
