Smoked Turkey & Gouda with Apple Slice Sandwiches!

I do not know for how long this has been a trend, but lately apples have been showing up in my sandwiches... and they're delicious!
I wanted to try my hand at making such a sandwich so I gathered up ingredients I had around the home and began constructing my first sandwich with apples on it.

Chocolate Martini - the effective, yet tasty drink!

ONCE upon a time, I had the most incredible chocolate martini ever created.  It had a smooth, chocolate taste with a hint of irish cream and lots of delicious chocolate-flavored alcohol.  After trying several recipes and being severly disappointed with the results, I finally found a combination that is similar to that original incredible chocolate martini.  Here's hoping you also enjoy it!

Hawaiian Pizza Awesomeness!

I have fond memories of family pizza night. Dad used to cook up at least a pound of hamburger to mix together a variety of red sauces to form his very special pizza sauce. My sister and I would play with the flour and dough, making a huge mess but having a blast, too. My mother would run around cleaning up after us and preparing the toppings. However, in all our years of pizza making, the toppings were almost always the same: pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and tons of cheese.

Coleslaw from Scratch!

As I was getting ready to make BBQ pulled pork sandwiches for the aimClear office, I realized I needed some really good coleslaw to go on top (or as Minnesotans seem to do, to eat as a side to their super delicious sandwich).  I searched the web and was getting frustrated with the seemingly endless variations on coleslaw with no real guarantee of their tastiness when I came across a YouTube video with step-by-step instructions on how to make this amazing coleslaw.  It looked beautiful a

BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches - AMAZING Summer Meal!

My husband is a fan of pulled pork and frequently requests the store bought stuff. I, preferring homemade to pre-packaged and seeing that there was a sale on pork sirloins, decided to try my hand at pulled pork; I mean, how hard could it be? Turns out, it's a lot like any other roast. Pop it in the crock pot with some onions, garlic, seasoning, and liquid for 8 hours on low and you're good to go! Now I will share my easy but delicious recipe with you!

Baked raised donuts - not the same as fried, but good nonetheless!

In an attempt to be healthy, but also to try out my mini donut maker, I decided to attempt some recipes for baked donuts.

Taco Dip - as a meal or appetizer, it's delicious!

Another taco-inspired meal for you all to enjoy: taco dip! Usually I use this as an appetizer, but occasionally we do make it into more of a salad-type meal and both ways are truly fantastic. In addition to its versatility, taco dip requires few ingredients and minimal prep time!  Let's get to it...

Tortilla Cup Desserts

I was searching around the internet one day for tasty desserts to serve at a party I was hosting and came across this amazing recipe from Taste of Home called "Tortilla Dessert Cups." I made some minor modifications and came out with one of the best desserts I've ever had. It kept well for about a week in my refrigerator and was low in calories to boot!

Geeter: french bread, bacon, and crab!

My husband and I frequent a local sandwich shop called Erbert and Gerbert's. They have unusually named sandwiches with delightful stories behind each. Mostly, though, they are just a really good sandwich shop. That being said, sometimes you don't want to pay sandwich shop prices, so I decided I would attempt my hand at one of my favorite sandwiches: The Geeter. In short, it is a chopped seafood sandwich with bacon, mayo, lettuce, and tomato. It's wonderful!

Mafalda with Homemade Alfredo Sauce! Yum!

Despite growing up in an Italian home and learning many Italian recipes from my mother and grandmother, I had never learned how to make homemade Alfredo sauce.  Thus, I was stuck with the store-bought version until I picked up this particular alfredo sauce recipe from a friend of mine. It is delightfully simple, yet tasty!
