Ham and Cheese Pretzel Bites

Pinterest is as wonderful as it is addicting. Our CasadeLindquist Pinterest page is up to thousands of pins and after a bit of digging, I found the recipe I'd been meaning to try for a while. Imagine soft pretzels (Yum!) with an added layer of melty cheese and delicious ham (double yum!). I mean, who wouldn't love that at a party?!

Pulled Chicken Hoagie

Around here, we love sandwiches. So we are always looking for new ways to combine our favorite meats, cheeses, condiments, and vegetables. After going to one of our favorite restaurants (Clyde Iron in West Duluth) and seeing how they combined pulled chicken with garlic aioli sauce, avocado, and pico de gallo, we knew we had another sandwich project to try. It was a truly incredible combination of flavors!

Three Cheese & Chicken Nachos!

Nachos are an amazing food that can be made anytime for virtually any occassion. They allow the consumer (aka the person eating the food) to assemble their favorite food items together into a pile, top it off with guacamole and sour cream, and go to town. One of our new favorite recipes for nachos is similar to the Green Mill one for Chipotle Chicken & Three Cheese Nachos.

BBQ Chicken Pizza!

Who doesn't love pizza? It's easy to throw together and you can meet a variety of people's desires with different toppings. Thus, it just makes sense to have a few blog posts about this incredibly versatile meal!

Scrambled Eggs with Cheese and Ham

We do love our breakfast foods around here. As breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day for getting the brain and body ready to work, we always make sure to eat something before heading out the door. Unfortunately, it's also at a time of day where our bodies are not fully awake and fighting the concept of eating.

Pesto Eggs Benedict

Upon going out to brunch with a friend, we discovered a delightful new take on Eggs Benedict. Instead of using butter on the English muffins, they used Artichoke Dip. Instead of ham, they used a sausage pattie. To the traditional hollandaise sauce, they added pesto. In combination, this was simply the best Eggs Benedict I had ever had. Thus, I had to figure out how to make it at home.

Creamy Artichoke Dip

My husband and I occasionally visit a local restaurant that serves the most incredible creamy artichoke dip. Pretty much every time we go there, we have to order it because it is just that good. After a friend made his own delicious creamy artichoke dip, I realized that it was indeed possible to make a delicious batch of the stuff at home! Imagine, no more going to the restaurant just for the appetizer.

Smoked Gouda Mac with Broccoli, Bacon, and Tomatoes!

To honor our 50th "like" on Facebook, I decided to create a super special dinner recipe that I have been meaning to make for some time now. For years, my husband and I have been trying to figure out how restaurants acheive a creamy cheese sauce that isn't grainy. We experimented with flour vs. corn starch, high end cheeses vs. the cheap-o brands, and had little success creating the perfect texture.

Weekly Menu #3 to Help Lose Weight!

Week three and holding steady! Once again a combo of healthy but delicious eating has paid off and I was able to lose about 2 pounds of my Christmas weight! Double yay!!!

Dark Chocolate Almond Cheesecake

For dear mumsy's 50th birthday, I decided to make her a Chocolate Almond Cheesecake using our Deep Dark Chocolate Cheesecake recipe as a base. It is FABULOUS!
